Nick and Cat Chupein took a huge leap in the fall of 2016 by moving to Maryland with our young son to be closer to family. We both have creative arts backgrounds, but now focus our energy on rescuing at-risk properties and transforming them into beautiful, affordable dwellings.
After living in many uninspiring apartments in Chicago, each with its own disinterested landlord, we learned that in order to bring our ideal living situation to life, we would have to do it ourselves. In 2010, we bought a classic Chicago three-flat and immediately got to work making it a place that anyone would love to call home.
Our motivation lies in creating homes for those, like us, who seek a well-made, reasonably-priced space were they can have a higher quality of life. We seek to improve the livability of neighborhoods and strengthen the communities therein, which we hope results in long-term happy tenants and homeowners.
